Intercultural Studies Program was first offered in 2004 and to date has over 250 alumni.
The founder and academic director of the program is prof. David Robbins (Ph.D. Yale University), Professor of European History and of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures at Charles University in Prague. Dr. Robbins was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 1994 to teach in the American Cultural Studies program at the Liberal Arts Faculty, where since 1998 he has served as visiting director and faculty member.
Mgr. Marcela Janíčková is the executive director of the program as well as one of the 3 lecturers in the two core courses. She has over 15 years of experience teaching foreign students either in the Czech Republic or in their home countries. She has been a founding member of 3 intercultural endeavors, including building a campus for an American University in Dakar, Senegal. She is an intellectural historian focusing on the birth of various ideologies in Central Europe.
